When kids are sick and sleeping soundly there is no way that I am going to wake them up to check their temperature. But sometimes that is needed and a no contact thermometer is the way to go. This one is a great option and it is so versatile!It has child and adult mode and it can also be used as a monitor for checking temperature in the ear. All of the options have worked well for us and it will even change from Celsius to Fahrenheit which is handy. It will read your temperature within seconds and if you have a fever the screen will light up red when it says the temperature to tell you that the temp is too high. Once your temperature is in an acceptable range it will go back to green when it says the temperature.

My toddler son was recently sick and at night times his temp increases. I want the contact less temperature measurement when my baby is sleeping and I don't want to wake him up from sleep. I can also use in ear when he is awake. It's always good to have flexibility. The other part I love about this is it has physical button to select the options. Change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit is just a press of a button and not select options on the screen. The same applies to changing the temperature mode. You have options to do a contact less head temperature for 1) Adult 2) Baby 3) Room temperature. It also has a toggle button to turn off the sound. I leave it open, but it give choice for ppl. The temperature measurement on the screen is color coded. It gives visual que to know if everything is fine. Red is fever and Green for everything looks good and the screen is backlit. That means you don't have to turn on the lights when you take temperature of your kid when sleeping.Highly recommend and I am one happy mom.
